Sonic's History Montages

There has been a number of history montages and trailers and stuff about Sonic the Hedgehog.
I have seen one on Sonic Gems Collection. Here it is.

Cool, huh? Well there's also been one promoting Sonic Generations.

Was that intresting?  Here's a montage of the games that had the levels featured in Sonic Generations.

However, someone on Youtube was not impressed with this video and decided to make a REALLY long full version that featured ALL (and I mean AAAALLLLL) of the games in the entire Sonic the Hedgehog series.

What do you think? Did you skip a lot of it? Were you surprised at all the Sonic games you never even knew existed? Was that amazing? Hope you liked this post!

Backwards Sonic the Hedgehog Games! (also on A Great Kid)

You know what's funny and cool? Sonic the Hedgehog in reverse! These are kinda cool with Eggman's macine coming back together, and really funny with Sonic's Invinciblility pulling him. Here's the first one... Sonic 1! (why not?)

What did you think? Cool? Funny? Here's another one.

Here's more.

Comment your favorite parts!

This post is also on my other blog, A Great Kid.

The Nick Arcade Prototype of Sonic 2

Sonic The Hedgehog was a success. So fans expected a sequel. Sega decided to make Sonic 2.

Sonic 2 had to go through several prototypes. The first prototype, Nick Arcade, was weird, because it acted as if it were Sonic 1. It had the level from the previos game, Green Hill, But it was broken. (this video will show you why)
Another flaw of the Nick Arcade prototype, was that Scrap Brain (really Hill Top) Act 3 was an oblivion, because in Sonic 1, Sonic fell into Labrinth. Final Zone was Hill Top Act 2, and this short video will show you the big flaw.

The reason why it crashed to pink is because it was trying to access the final boss of Sonic 1, Egg Crusher.

Original 1991 Game Development

Sega had a mascot called Alex Kidd. But he wasn't much compared to Mario. An artist drew some sketches of Sonic's prototype called Mr. Needlemouse (In America, Mr Hedgehog)
He later became Sonic, with the combination of the Sega logo, Santa Claus, and Michel Jackson, it became a worldwide hit.
